A heavy-duty front winch bumper for the classic Land Rover Defender, made to order in Great Britain by ORE from 3 mm mild steel and finished in ORE’s powder coat. The winch tray is wider than usual: ORE sized it for the Warrior T1000 winch.
Choosing the right version
- A/C & bumper style: ORE makes separate versions for Defenders with and without air-conditioning, so choose “With A/C” if your vehicle has it fitted. Then pick straight or cranked (angled) ends. The ends are detachable, so they can be replaced if damaged or swapped for the other style later.
- Lights: with or without a pair of Ring Automotive BRL0397 LED daytime running lights (E-approved, IP65, five 1.5 W LEDs each) with an automatic on/off fitting kit. Bumpers with lights come with backplates that stop mud packing against the lamps.
- Winch type: the winch-mount layout, for a standard winch or a central-drum winch.

Not included: the winch (the photos show a winch fitted for illustration), and the fixing kit: the stainless Defender bumper fixing kit is sold separately.
Construction
- 3 mm mild steel; ORE forms the mounting tabs from the same single steel profile rather than welding them on, so there are no seams for moisture and dirt
- Stiffeners welded either side of the mounting tabs, positioned so the coating and a jet-wash can reach inside
- Pressed, formed ends rather than step-folded or welded-on ends
- Finished in ORE’s powder-coat system
